Ever since I was a postgraduate I have been fascinated by the theoretical limits of the mind. What starts out as triumph soon becomes corrupted into a tragedy of defeat, leaving only a sense of chaos and the unlikelihood of a new beginning.
As spatial replicas become frozen through studious and personal practice, the viewer is left with an epitaph for the limits of our existence.
“Aquí, jo no hi pinto res”. Catalan expresion that literaly means: “ here, I don´t paint anything”.
The real meaning can be understood as: to be out of place,to have no influence, to not fit in, make no impact, to cut no ice.
